Prancing Peonies is a bright and vibrant floral piece. The shape dances around the head with wire crinoline flowers that are made from raw materials in my studio. With the bright and vibrant colour of Cup Week the palette for this piece was important so I chose a neon coral and created a gradient centre of magenta pink. Each hand-made flower has been mounted onto a wire frame and carefully placed to wrap around the head giving a point of interest from every angle.
This piece was created for the Victoria Racing Club (VRC) Lillian Frank AM MBE Millinery Award and now this showstopping piece is available to be yours!
