Teaching Profile
Lauren started her millinery career learning from some of the greats including Louise Macdonald, Paris Kyne, Serena Lindeman and Edwina Ibbotson. She has gone on to further this foundation launching her business in the Manchester Unity Building and creating quality pieces that she shares with customers around the world.
In 2014 Lauren completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Learning through Deakin University along side a Certificate VI in Training and Assessment which she ensures remains up to date. She has taught in the Fashion Department at RMIT University and Holmesglen TAFE delivering higher education courses.
Lauren teaches a range of millinery skills through private classes and produces teaching aids for publications including The Hat Magazine and Millinery.Info.

Upcoming Classes
Face-to-face course Summer Millinery Intensive (December) at Louise MacDonald's Studio
Learn basic traditional millinery techniques to create 2 hats of your own design. You'll be shown how to create one hat from felt and the other from straw. Steaming, blocking, stitching, trimming – all the essentials are covered in this 5-day course. On the final day we will focus on ribbon trims and cockades, which can be applied to hats or headbands. Louise Macdonald and Lauren Ritchie will be your tutors for the week.
